Spring 2015 - Isabelle Bochet - Townsend Lectures

Isabelle Bochet, CNRS, Institut des Études Augustiniennes (Paris), delivered three Townsend Lectures in the Spring of 2015 on "Fides as Assent According to Augustine: Philosophical Tradition and Scritpure."

The dates and titles of the three lectures were:   

Wednesday, April 29, 2015 - "Consentire Sapientiae: Going Beyond Skepticism in the Contra Academicos"

Friday, May 1, 2015 - "Justifying Belief: Using Arguments of the Academics in the De Utilitate Credendi"

Monday, May 4, 2015 - "Grace and Free will in the Act of Faith: Resorting to the Stoic Notion of Assent"
