Fall 2002 - Natalie Kampen - Townsend Lectures

Natalie Boymel Kampen, Professor of Women’s Studies, Barnard College, delivered three Townsend Lectures in the Fall of 2002 on “The Image of Manhood: Roman Representations of Mas-culinity in the Art of the High and Late Empire.”

Tuesday, October 22 - “Antinoos The Beautiful: From Queer to Kin”

Thursday, October 24 - “Death and Social Pretension: The Late Antique Representation of the Family in Funerary Art”

Friday, October 25 - “The Holy Man’s Kinfolk: De-picting the New Family in Christ”
